Each country and even different duristictions have different rules and regulations that coincide with the skin penetration act, so it is best you find out with your local council what the legals are on tattooing other humans and even the opening of a tattoo shop.

There are thankfully these days practice skins you can purchase from tattoo wholesalers which will help you get used to the tattoo machine, strengthen your tattooing hand, practice your lining and shading and help build confidence.

Once your tattoo is done on the practice skins it will be there forever so you can use them as a showpiece for your artwork. These skins can be found on ebay in multiple packs for great price so why wouldn’t you want to try them out!

I have also heard of people using grapefruit or bananas to practice on which is a cheap alternative but these skins are the closest thing you will get to human skin to practice with.
